Band

Our Band program offers Beginning and Intermediate Band for fifth and sixth grades and advanced Band for sixth through eighth grades.The Bands carry out a range of activities throughout the year with two regular performances in the Fall and Spring. Class time instruction focus is upon sight reading in readiness for upcoming events and competitions.  Some of our players recently attended a special Honor Band Camp at ACSI.  The Band plays at most of our school events, and is under the direction of our outstanding instrumental music teacher Ken Jeffery.

We are blessed to have Ken Jeffery who has over 20 years of experience teaching instrumental music.Ken provides a stimulating and rich band program for 5-8th grade students. Summit’s band has received awards in a number of ACSI competitions and is a favorite in all of Summit’s programs.
